She has a stunning beauty, one that's culturally  diverse,

She has a soulful sound, one that you feel rather than hear first,

She's graceful and quite charming, truly hypnotic in her ways,

Her night's are fiery passionate and she's sultry in her days,

She has an incomparable style, many people flock to see her,

Her love is so intense, even a hurricane couldn't make some flee her,

Her heart beats to a regal drum, one that captivates the soul,

Her strength is simply amazing, and her attitude is bold,

She's effervescent and vivacious and she's bursting with pizzazz,

Tantalizing, spicy, and tempting, she's the epitome of "Jazz"

Those who leave her are drawn back to her, those who resist are never the same,

She's where the heart is and she's home and NEW ORLEANS  is her name!

This special dedication goes out to the city of New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina and all of those who lost their lives during one of the worst hurricanes in American history. It is with profound love and fond memories that we take this moment to pay respect to our great and wonderful city. To the vibrance, life and soul that we may never be able to recapture, the camaraderie, laughter and language that made New Orleans Original, the food, (especially the food) second lines and Dj's that brought the streets to life, and the people, families and neighborhoods (wards) that made the city home. We may have gotten knocked down, (only to our knees) but we were never knocked out! While we're down let us lift our heads, pray to GOD and watch how fast we come up!
